Asif, It seems that something is messed up. You didn't say how to score a suffix. If a suffix is scored with the same weight as a last name, then "William III" should score higher than 'William II' in problem 5. If the suffix is not scored at all, then 'william' should score higher than 'William II' or 'William III'. The same sort of problem occurs in problem 4.

I'm confused! Two successful solutions have been submitted, but I would swear that the test suite answers for problems 6 and 15 are incorrect. In problem 15, it is easy to see that there is no way to get a production rate higher than 43; yet the answer given is 44.

I see. Then you need to change the statement of the problem to say "Ac = x" and "Bc = y", rather than "AC = x" and "BC = y". Since "C" and "c" are different points on the diagram, this changes the problem completely. As written, the problem is quite difficult to solve.

Asif, I must be misunderstanding this problem. It seems to be that a triangle with x = 20 and y = 30 could not have an area greater than x*y/2 = 300. Yet, problem 1 says the area is 600. How could it be so large? My calculations says that with this x and y, there is no solution for r = 10.

As i understand it, the algorithm is only supposed to change the middle element of the matrix. That means the answer to problem 1 in the test suite is incorrect.
