I was trying to use uvector for defining a unit vector, but it gives an error :Unrecognized function or variable 'uvector'.

I was trying to execute the kinematic analysis of a planar slider crank mechanism code availabe in matlab central. but it stops and gives error at the line where uvector is defined. any idea why this, and if there is a new command for this. My version is R19 of matlab

There's no function by that name in any of the products supported for use with MATLAB Answers.

Searching the Support section of mathworks.com found only 6 hits, all of which were in MATLAB Answers posts.

So it's not clear where the uvector function or variable that you're trying to call or use came from. If you provide the link to the File Exchange submission you're trying to run we may be able to investigate where that uvector came from.

I think I also have to use the following subprograms; but couldn't figure out how to link them with the main program.

I appended all the function (.m) files to the main program and ran matlab, but it stops at uvector as shown below:

Did you make it all into one big file? Or did you put the contributions into the same directory as your code? Or did you use Add-On Explorer to install the contribution?

Yes, I put all the function subprograms into one big file. Still the program stops at uvector although uvector is a defined function. Here is where the application to the problem is:

I recommend that you do not put them all into one big file.

I am not sure if it is too much to ask you. Can you try and run this program to see if it gives same error? Otherwise, how do I run this file? I tried keeping all the function programs in the same folder and tried to run only the main file, but still..
