Using the Symbolic Math toolbox:
a) Find x, y, and z such that
3x-4y+z-1=0
x-2y-z-5=0
4x+y2+2z=1
b) Factorize the following expression:
6bx - 4ax - 2ax3 + 3bx3 - 6x2 + 2abx2 + abx4 - 12

That expression is already factored, under the very reasonable assuption that bx is the name of a single symbolic variable .

Hi Mohammed,
For first you can use solve function:
syms x y z
e1 = 3*x-4*y+z-1==0;
e2 = x-2*y-z-5==0;
e3 = 4*x+2*y+2*z==1;
sol = solve([eqn1, eqn2, eqn3], [x, y, z]);
xSol = sol.x
ySol = sol.y
zSol = sol.z
For second you can use factor function:
syms x a b
eq = 6*b*x - 4*a*x - 2*a*x^3 + 3*b*x^3 - 6*x^2 + 2*a*b*x^2 + a*b*x^4 - 12;
factor(eq,x);
Hope this Helps!
