Kindly explain the difference between "mesh" plot and "plot3" graphs. What's the importance of these two different approaches?

The main notable difference is that mesh draws a three-dimensional surface while plot3 only draws three-dimensional lines, you can use plot3 when you want to visualize data seen as individual points or you want to follow some three-dimensional trajectory, use mesh when you want to see some surface, you can also add a "fourth dimension" that will be represented with color, therefore it could serve to see the temperature of an object and other applications
