Did you overlook the email from the product manager back in July 2019 to link your legacy ThingSpeak account to a MathWorks Account? If so, respond back to that email with your request.

Your request to re-activate your account has been addressed. Please log in to ThingSpeak and confirm you are able to send data to ThingSpeak using your existing account.
Please "accept" this answer if it has answered your question.
PS: I'd strongly suggest looking at the messages with "ACTION REQUIRED" in the subject line. If you were about to run out of messages, etc, the system automatically sends out these messages.

Everything working again. Thanks for help.
I have overlooked it because I'm filtering emails by known domain and it was first email with mathworks.com domain instead thingspeak.com.

Hello. I will yust borrow this thread. Its been yeas since i last used my account. I looked in my emails i didnt find nothing regard to reactivate my account. Where i can re-activate my account?
Thank you
I have the same situation. But I cannot figure out how to re-activate my license. When I go to the Home license, there is no optioin to check on the free license. Is the only way to re-activate the license to have staff do it manually?
Thanks!

Hi, I think I've ran in to the same problem here. I'm on a free licence, and can't find any e-mail regarding the action to be taken. My uploads stopped since a few days, without any code change. Do I need to re-activate as well?
Thanks in advance!

I don't believe your issue has to do with your license. I suspect a device connectivity issue.
To confirm, can you try logging in to ThingSpeak, creating a new channel and ingesting a single point into the channel using your browser? Instructions on ingesting data into the channel from a browser are in the "API keys" tab of your channel (or, see documentation here https://www.mathworks.com/help/thingspeak/writedata.html )
If it works from the browser, you can focus your investigations on the device end.
I was finally able to go over to the weather station and check what is going on. Turned out that it had a software crash in the WiFi uplink. All fixed now :)

Hello! I seem to have the same issue, I get a -303 error on my ESP32 when trying to update values. Can I get my account reactivated?
Thanks in advance!

Can you provide more info? You should be getting a 401 if your license has exhausted capacity. A 303 implies something else is going on.
Hello! Nevermind, it seems to be working again, I was unable to update values till yesterday, I had left my account inactive for a very long time. A banner used to pop up everytime I tried logging in saying I can't update any new values and I had the option to download all my previous data. Today when I logged in it didn't appear and I was able to update values as usual.
The banner also said my license expired on in September of 2019.

Hello!
How can my trial license be activated for a free license?
Thanks!
Peter

Nagy Péter: When you signed up you specified that your intended use was for commercial applications. The free license is only for non-commercial users. Commercial users are required to purchase a license after the trial ends.

Hello, I am having the same problem. My Free account has expired and I can no longer connect to the MQTT public channel I assigned to ThingSpeak. I get an authentication error on the connection.
Can I reactivate my account?
License Type: Free
Expiration Date: 04 Dec 2022
Available Remaining

In relation to this, I have tried looking through past emails I have received from ThingSpeak and could only find a notice to migrate the legacy MQTT service to mqtt3.thingspeak.com.
Also, when I check my page on my MathWorks account, it shows no linked license.

@Hieromon Ikasamo: The ThingSpeak MQTT broker was updated. I think you will need to update your MQTT code following the example here or here. Note the topic change for publish - you no longer need to provide API key once your client is authorized access to the channel using the UI.
@Vinod: You were right in your guess. I changed my code according to your guidance and now I can successfully publish messages again.
Thank you.
Thank you for confirming it works, @Hieromon Ikasamo.
Also, thank your for the AutoConnect library and its examples showing the use of ThingSpeak. I use the library on a personal project :)
Hi @Vinod, I will soon release AutoConnect V1.3.5 which is compatible with ESP32 Arduino Core 2.0.3. This release includes mqttRSSI examples that is compatible with the updated ThinkgSpeak MQTT broker.
Thank you for your support.

Expired License show this messeage and unable revert to free acount please help

I hit the revert to free acount and got this:
The change you wanted was rejected.
Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to.
Can anyone help me with this?
Commerical use of ThingSpeak requires a paid license after 30 days. Please buy the appropriate license to continue to use the service.

Hello,
I don't know if I have the same problem as the previous questioners. Just yesterday my two channels:
327199 created 09/2017
752851 created 06/2019
were working without any problems, but I apparently lost access to them during the night.
They tell me that they are not "public".
And when I try to create the same thing again, I am rejected and get a response that I am probably trying to do something that I do not have access to.
While investigating the problem, I found that "somewhere" I had entered my old email address, which I have not used for 3 years. Is it possible that this problem is caused by this?

@hornychz: I do not see your channels. I believe you need to recreate your channels. Out of curiosity, when did you last log in to your account?
Thank you for your answer.
My last login was definitely January 6th at the latest, because I was adjusting the settings of individual fields in the older channel. Yesterday, January 7th, I was still watching both channels, but maybe without logging in, it might have been around 8 pm. But after midnight today, when I still wanted to check the CO2 status on my internal sensor, I couldn't see anything anymore. And as a result, the websites that use iframes from both channels also crashed.
I think I lost data in my channels, so I tried to create them all over again today, but I'm getting rejected.
I've sent you a note to connect and understand & resolve the issue.
Dear Vinod,
For now thank you very much. I have to prepare all my software for new channels, new API keys, new visualization and so one. So - take me some time to prepare it. But now it looks like everything is fine. Once I have everything finished, I'll post a report here.
Thank you again for your help and especially for the very fast response.
I haven't done much yet, but it seems to be working as it should. Thanks again for your help.
