What audio interfaces are compatible with the DAQ toolbox?

1 view (last 30 days)
I would like to use the DAQ toolbox for collecting audio signals across multiple microphones. (My understanding is that DAQ is the only toolbox that would allow me to get absolute timestamps for each sample, which I need to align the audio with other signals).
However, I am having trouble finding audio interfaces that explicitly use the DirectSound driver, which the DAQ toolbox requires.
I've come across one post indicating that an interface supporting ASIO can be used with DirectSound, but another post suggesting that this might prevent multiple-microphone recordings.
Are there audio interfaces which have been confirmed to work for acquiring multiple audio signals in parallel with the DAQ toolbox?

Thanks. I thought it should be possible based on this example from Mathworks, but I guess that's only for a two-channel single-mic input. Are you suggesting that the DAQ toolbox can be used for 2 individual mics, or only a two-channel mic?
I will try to bypass the problem by connecting the different microphones to separate USB devices. I know the signals from USB will not be synchronized, but hopefully I can align them in software using the timestamps.
