Hi,
I have developed a standalone exe of my code.
My code runs without any errors on matlab interface but when the standalone exe is run a window pops with a note saying
"The 'STRING ' input must be either a char row vector, a cell array pf char row vwctors, or a string array'
My input is a combination of character and strings.
How can i resolve this?
Thank you in advance

There are a number of unsupported functions: listed here .
Some toolboxes are not supported at all. Most of the toolboxes that can be compiled do not support Mathworks convenience tools; see list here
Historically the entry point had to be a function, not a script; I am not sure whether that was changed or not (I thought it had been but then I saw hints otherwise later.)
You can use inputdlg() and menu() and questdlg() and uicontrol('style', 'edit' ) and radio buttons and so on in compiled executables. But input() gets tricky.
You can supply command line arguments, and those are received as parameters to the function that is the entry point. But beware that they will be received as character vectors.

Thank you walter once again,
As you mentioned the earlier problem got sorted and the error was due to uicontrols.
