Can I reinstall student licence in a new notebook?

Hi!
I just acquired student license, but I am having some troubles with my notebook. I will try to fix it. If I succeed, I want to reinstall matlab. If not, I would like to install my license in a new notebook. These options are possible?

yes!, you can deactivate your license from the Matlab website or directly from your old computer, and then during the installation process, you will enter your login data again. (with the student license you can install Matlab in two computers)

That information is incorrect. The license is clear that student license holders may only activate on one system at a time. They can install on other systems but not activate it. However, TAH (Total Academic Headcount) licenses may be activated on two computers per student; TAH are Academic licenses though.
Note that there are limited number of times per year that you can transfer student license between computers. You should be okay with transferring to another computer temporarily and then transferring back to the original computer when it is fixed, as that is only two transfers and two hosts. In the situation where the repair shop had to replace key components of the computer (or the entire computer) then that could end up being three different computers at the licensing level and if something went wrong you could end up in a situation where you ended up transferring too many times. The good news about that is that Mathworks considers this to be a special situation for which they will permit an extra transfer, provided that you present proof that the computer was repaired under warranty.
Hi, Walter!
Thank you for the information. I am going to take just one action: send my notebook to fix and reinstall on the same notebook or buy another one and install the Student License on it.
If I decide to buy a new notebook, I will not be interested in maintain the license activated at the previous notebook, but only on the new one. Is that not possible?
The situation I described is the common one where someone temporarily installs MATLAB on a different system while they wait for their computer to come back from repairs (since that can take weeks.) It is, of course, not mandatory that you install it somewhere else while you are waiting.
If you purchase a new system, then Yes, you can transfer licenses (the limit used to be 4 times per year; I think I heard it might have been reduced.) The transfer process is easiest if you still have access to the old system to run the deactivation process, but it is possible even if that computer has been scrapped.
