how to upload a sine wave code from matlab to arduino?

what are the steps i should follow , can anyone tell me the commands for writing output to arduino board, it's really urgent.

What is it that needs to be sent to the arduino board?

1. MATLAB code for it to store in a file and do nothing with?
2. C/C++ code for it to store in a file, which you will then trigger a compilation of and then execute?
3. compiled C/C++ code to execute?
4. data values for it to record for some reason?
5. data values that the arduino should convert to analog output on a pin?

Is it an I2C pin? SPI? A servo? Are you trying to do Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) ?
