The reason mine was not working was because by Windows User Account had two names. When I first created the account, it was an offline account. However, I then updated the account by linking it to my Microsoft Account. When I did this, the account had two different names at the same time which confused Matlab and caused this error. I fixed it by unlinking my account, changing the original name to the same as my Microsoft Account name, then re-linking it.

I've seen that plenty of people have asked about this, but none of them offer a working solution.
I just bought the licence, downloaded the program, and activated it. When I try to start it, I get this error. I did not switch accounts, this is the only account on my computer. I attempted to restart the computer, as well as deactivate and reactivate multiple times.
