How to use the std function for signal ????

I have to extract Standard deviantion of multi channel EEG and I dont know how to use the std function can anyone help me please Thanks.

It depends on what you want to achieve:
  • If you want to get the standard deviation over the time and the "multi channel EEG" is recorded as [nTimeStep x nChannel] matrix:
SignalStd = std(Signal, 0, 1);
  • I the standard deviation between the channels is wanted:
SignalStd = std(Signal, 0, 2);
You see: A specific answer requires more specific details in the question.

Thank you for your help.Actually I want to use the standard deviation as a feature for my classsifier for the detection of epileptic seizure
please I want to ask you how can i use the function MEAN for my signal i dont know how to write the code.
Did you read doc mean already? It is equivalent to the std command, but without the 2nd input:
SignalMean = mean(Signal, 1);
SignalMean = mean(Signal, 2);
