4D plot - representing 3 variables function

4D plotting:
I have 3 independent variables - x(7x8x61) , y(7x8x61) , z(7x8x61) - and I have matrix F(7x8x61) - corespond to every value of [x,y,z].
How can I represent F on a 3D grid?
Maybe with a surface, where F values represented in color? (like in the example below)

clc; clear
[X,Y,Z] = peaks(100);
C = rand(size(Z)) ;
figure
surf(X,Y,Z,C);
colorbar

hi. I see X and Y are transpose of one another. also X,Y,Z are 2 dimensional.
are those conditions nessecery to use this method?

what is vol3d function? my matlab doesn't recognize it (version 2015a)
Visit that link. On the upper right hand side, click on "Download the ZIP file". Save the .zip and unzip it into a convenient directory that is not underneath the MATLAB installation path. Now use pathtool in MATLAB to add that directory to your MATLAB path. You will then be able to use the function.
