Use individual license on a network

I have an individual license, which allows me to install and use MATLAB for one user on up to four different machines. One of the places I would like to use it is on a pool network, where it is not always guaranteed I will be using the same computer. Is there a way to set up one of the activations so that it will work for a single user from any computer on the network? I do still want to keep the other three activations, but the fourth would be tied to a network rather than a machine. I believe this is still within the spirit of the Individual license, because it would only ever be accessible and used by a single named user.

Sorry, no, that is a different class of license, a Networked Named User license. You could inquire about converting license types (I have no idea of current costs for that at all.)

Network Named licenses do not care if you only have a single named user. They are available with multiple instance counts.
My memory from 8-ish years ago is that if you had the same user log in multiple times that only one instance was used up. My memory could be wrong on that point, and it is also possible that this might only have applied when the logins were on the same system.
I am certain, though, that Networked Named User with multiple instances would suffice for the situation you describe.

Dave, given the size of your organization, I expect there are a couple of options here and I have sent a note to the account manager of your organization to follow-up / have somebody follow-up with you.
