Why is there no Angled() function?

yeah of course I can use angle() * (180/pi) but it seems like MatLab should have angled() included.
Just a thought.

There are "d" versions of the standard trigonometry functions that work with degrees instead of radians, such as sind(), cosd(), atan2d(), etc. Is that what you're looking for?

You can try:
angled = @(cplx) atan2d(imag(cplx), real(cplx));
a = -1 - 1i;
ph1 = angled(a)
ph2 = angle(a) * 180/pi
ph1 =
-135
ph2 =
-135
