Is there a shortcut for selecting the word under the cursor in MATLAB?

As per question, to replace double click

To clarify, I mean the caret not the mouse cursor.

You could use shift + arrow to move to the beginning/end of a word, then shift + control + arrow in the opposite direction to select the word.

Surely you're not saying that clicking twice is too hard, and you'd rather move your fingers farther to do some keystroke or combination of keystrokes, so I'm assuming you're wanting to get help on the function name that your cursor is placed in. So to do that, you simply have to hit the F1 key. You don't have to actually double click to highlight the whole word in order to get help on it.

Otherwise the best way I know to do it is to do Ctrl+rightarrow then do Ctrl+Shift+leftarrow, however that selects the space after the word also, whereas double-click does not select the trailing space.

I am clearly lazy and don't want to move my hands away from the keyboard. The help shortcut is not what I'm after. The last option will do the trick but if possible in a single set of keystrokes this would be better.

Image Analyst: I had to cut down a lot on posting here last week because my hands were hurting too much, inflammation of the tendons especially in my right forearm. Clicking my mouse with my right hand was especially painful and while using the keyboard was not exactly fun, it was less painful than using the mouse.

Andy: A second ago when I went to look for a reference to show that keyboarding was faster than mousing, I found this old article that clearly says the opposite (and explains why it might not feel like it.) But that is purely in terms of time, not in terms of amount of motion.
