Does Matlab Release 2014b include ghostscript? If so, can a deployed executable use ghostcript?

I have an application that combines .ps files into a single file and then converts the single file into a .pdf file using ghostscript. If I deploy this application does Matlab include ghostscript and will my deployed version know where to find the ghostscript files?

Hi Tommie,
MATLAB ships with its own version of ghostscript. The ghostscript files are located at [matlabroot\sys\extern\{arch}\ghostscript]. The ghostscript binary is provided via a MEX file 'gscript.mex*' located at [matlabroot/toolbox/matlab/graphics/private]. The MEX is called by the 'ghostscript' function located in the same directory. This function creates a file containing the command for ghostscript and then passes the file name to 'gscript' along with the file name for conversion.
For the deployed application, the ghostscript and MEX files are provided by the MCR (MATLAB Runtime) installation.
Regards,
Rohit
