square wave signal in sync with PWM generator

7 views (last 30 days)
Hello All,
I'd need to generate a square wave signal which is in sync with PWM carrier as depicted.
I use the PWM generator module (simscape) - I wonder how to sync the required sqaurewave pulse with PWM carrier?
Vdh (squarewave) is applied in deferrent referance (sync rotating frame) frame as 3-phase PWM operates (stationary frame).
Is it a way to sync PWM carrier and squarewave signal?
Thank you for advice.

Hi @Peter,
I understand that you want to generate a square wave with a duty cycle of 0.5 and in sync with the PWM generator.
The diagram shared by you shows a square wave trigeering at 2*Tper , 4*Tper and so on where Tper is the time period of the PWM generator.
The square wave can be generated by using a PWM generator with time period 4 times the original PWM generator and carrier counter as "Up". This ensures a square pulse with time period of 4*Tper in sync with the PWM generator .
Kindly refer to the below documentation of PWM generator for more details
I hope this helps!
