I was trying to follow this tutorial of Signal Smoothing, but Matlab reported
>> load bostemp
Error using load
Unable to find file or directory 'bostemp'.
Seems like while compiling, matlab was unable to find the directory for bostemp. Not sure why I'm getting that error message.
Do you know if this have to be included as an additional component or add-on?
Thanks in advance.

There are two possibilities here:
  1. You might not have The Signal Processing Toolbox installed
  2. You might have MATLAB configured to access documentation on MATLAB servers. The example data files are bundled in the same package as MATLAB documentation. Historically, it has been known for MATLAB to have problems locating example data from the Mathworks servers. If this is the problem then use Preferences -> Help -> MATLAB Help Preferences -> Documentation Location and select "Installed Locally"

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the response, I really appreciate the support through this.
I've tried option number 2 and after locally install the MATLAB documentation, issue remains there:
Which mean, as you suggested on option number 1 the Signal Processing Toolbox is not installed.

You can use
ver
to check whether Signal Processing Toolbox is installed.
