Hi,
I'm wondering whether Matlab R2021a will run on newest macOS?
I'm considering switching to mac, however I do have an old Matlab release license.
Thank you

The "13.4.1" output line shows that I am running this on MacOS 13.4.1, which is the latest version of Ventura.
You can see from the banner that it is R2021a.
Note that I am running this on an intel based iMac.

On the System Requirements page, if you select "Previous Releases" and look at the requirements for release R2021a on Mac the supported operating system versions for that release are:
  • macOS Big Sur (11)
  • macOS Catalina (10.15)
  • macOS Mojave (10.14)

I know that ther isn't information that 2021a supports Ventura, however I think that the requirements were published before the OS release. I'm just wondering whether this will work. I know that it would be better to update, however I don't need any new functionalities from new releases so there is no need for me to update license as of now.

I think there's no way you'll get TMW to say anything beyond what is on the official support page; I suppose there's the chance somebody else may have tried and will see the Q? and comment on their success or lack thereof...
