Whenever I open any matlab file that I previously created using MATLAB2021, this message appears! "Error using open (line 143) failed to open matlab editor" and it doesn't open what do I do?

Check your Windows Defender settings to ensure that MATLAB is not blocked from opening TCP connections to the same machine. Some key functionality such as Simulink and the help browser and the symbolic mathematics engine are implemented by starting additional processes on the same machine and communicating with them using TCP or UDP.

What was the file extension? .m? .fig? .mlapp? How exactly did you try to open it? Double clicking on it in the Current Folder panel? Typing something on the command line?
Could be an installation issue. Have you tried reinstalling? If so, then see the FAQ:

OK, will you answer the other question about if you tried reinstalling?
And does this happen for all .m files, or just one particular one?
If you reinstalled and it's still broken then call the Mathworks tomorrow for installation help.

OK, AGAIN (third time), will you answer the other question about if you tried reinstalling?
Is this Windows? If so, use the Windows "Steps Recorder" (type it in the task bar search box) to make a screen capture of your steps, then attach the zip file here.
