video image

I'm a research scholar ,just started literature survey.My topic is emotion rec from facial expression from video .Below shown is a portion taken from one journal.
'Future work in the approach includes recognition of faces from video sequences. It is also proposed to analyze facial expressions from video image sequences*'.
Can u pls make it clear what is the difference between video sequence and video image sequence

No real difference. Perhaps video sequence is the video itself, and maybe video image sequence is the set of individual frames written out to individual image files on disk, but it really depends on what the author meant.

The first sentence is referring to recognizing face whereas the second is referring to recognizing facial expression. The use of "sequences" is, I believe, just a matter of writing style.
