I now have the bars and all other elements of this graph. How do I get the brackets over the top that indicates one group is different from another?

Hi, do you know the name of the plot type you're trying to create? Would boxplot be an alternative? If you can't find it in MATLAB, you could try searching the file exchange: there are lots of custom plotting functions there - perhaps one of those packages has what you're looking for. Here's the results with a query "statistics plot": https://se.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange?q=statistics+plot
