Multithreading in single core xPC Target

12 views (last 30 days)
I am running a HILS using xPC Target v5.0. The target PC has a single core processor. I would like to run two simulations simultaneously using multithreading. Is there any way to have parallel processes running in a single core Target PC?

No. Even if the CPU supports hyperthreading, hyperthreading does not run code simultaneously: it is just a way of sneaking in more work when the CPU would otherwise be idle for a moment. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-threading
Hyperthreading, if it is possible at all in that configuration, would be a way of running multiple simulations more efficiently ... but not "simultaneously".
