EV Charging Reference Application

The electric vehicle (EV) charging reference application models charging of an EV battery from an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) unit, including digital communication between them.

The application provides four charging options, using either an NACS coupler (as introduced by Tesla®) or an SAE J1772/CCS coupler. Each option uses a different protocol combination for basic charging and high-level communication. The application incorporates a mapped battery block without thermal management.

During the charging process, a dashboard displays the system states and the charging progress.
