2. Defining Scenario Logic

Scenario logic can control the actions of actors and determine outcomes in RoadRunner Scenario. You can design complex scenarios by combining and adjusting various logical components. This module demonstrates how to define event-based scenarios using the graphical Logic editor.

Video length is 3:47

Summary

  • The Logic editor is a graphical interface used to arrange and edit logical components for every actor in the scenario.
  • Action phases specify the actions that actors perform during simulation.
  • Conditions are optional settings that control when the next action phase in a sequence will be activated.

Try

  • Using the Change Lateral Offset action, design a scenario in which a vehicle swerves from side to side within its lane.
  • Open a prebuilt sample scenario file such as CutInAndSlow.rrscenario or KeepSpaceGap.rrscenario.
  • Run the simulation and observe the status of actions and conditions displayed in the Logic editor.
