MCR load takes ~ 2 minutes on my XP system on the first launch. On subsequent launches the load time is approximately what it was before incorporating MCR into my application.
When I watch the symbols being loaded during the long launch (using a debugger) I notice the 'awt.dll' taking most of the time. My search on this website for 'awt.dll' yeilds nothing so I don't know if this is specific to my MCR needs or is a generic. Do you know what specifically is slowing your load down?
