Soft Real Time
This package contains two guides that explain, in a step by step fashion, how to start from an algorithm coded in either MATLAB or Simulink and use them to build an executable that runs in (soft) real time on either Windows or Linux.
The term "Soft" real time is used here to indicate that, since neither Windows or Linux are "hard real time" operating systems, we cannot guarantee that that errors with respect to the ideal execution rate will be bounded. Note however, that one could use extensions and patches like "preempt_rt" to gain hard real time capabilities if needed.
