As of August 2026, there are over 5,700 problems on Cody. Given that large quantity, and how long the site has been around, you might think that every good type of problem has been created. While there are far too many copies of simplistic problems, like adding two integers together, I recently stumbled across problems created by @minnolina. Today I finished all of the problems that this user has posted and I can recommend them as well done and worth your time.
Whether or not you have solved any problems on Cody, right now is as good a time as any to sharpen your coding skills, and the problems created by minnolina provide a very good sampling of quality Cody problems.
I created some problems last night and created a group too. All those are now missing.
Also my ranking progress, activites, badges earned last night are missing too.
Hi, I'm trying to solve this problem but I'm getting an error so far.
Problem:
Given a vector a, find the number(s) that is/are repeated consecutively most often. For example, if you have
a = [1 2 2 2 1 3 2 1 4 5 1]
The answer would be 2, because it shows up three consecutive times
What I've written so far (not done):
a = [1 2 2 2 1 3 2 1 4 5 1];
[x,y] = size(a);
counter = zeros(1,10);
if x == 1
for i=1:1:y
if a(i) == a(i+1)
counter(a(i)) = counter(a(i))+1
end
end
else
for i=1:1:x
if a(i) == a(i+1)
counter(a(i)) = counter(a(i))+1
end
end
end
But it says "error" in the line of "if a(i) == a(i+1)". I noticed that it creates a variable called "i" which value is 11, but it should create a vector from 1 to 11. What's wrong here?
I know my solution might not be in the right direction or something, but please don't tell me anything!
