Temperature measurement on electrical circuit

4 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to simulate an industrial X-ray device on Simulink. I am convinced about I cannot fully simulate it and I'm planing to construct simpler circuit. However, i have to make temperatue measurements on this simulation and I could not find a way to measure the temperatur of any electrical component. Does any one have advice about what can i use to represent the device?

When constructing your Simscape Electrical circuit, you will need to enable thermal ports of the relevant components which generate heat. These are: resistors and semiconductor switches typically. When using a Resistor block for example, right click the block, go to 'Simscape' and then 'Block choices' and select 'Show thermal port'. The same can be done for for example an IGBT block or a diode.
The thermal ports then need to be connected to a thermal network for which relevant blocks can be found in the 'Foundation Library' under 'Thermal'.

Thanks for your answer. I couldnt find the block choices when I place the resistor block from the Foundation Library. However, I am able to see that option when I pick the block from electrical library.
