How to read the designated position date in excel

1 view (last 30 days)
Thanks in advance, any comment will be appreciated. I have an excel including some ruled datas. Everyone knows that a data in excel has a designated position,eg A1 or B2,and so on... I want to read the data in A1, but I know the data is empty in the first row of excel. How can I read it?

I know the meaning of 'B2:C3',but when the 'B2' row is empty,it read the data from 'B3:C3', which is not I want to get. I want to get all the number of 'B2:C3',even when the B2 arrow number is empty , It can use NaN to instead.

The program can work in maltab7.0, which can not work in matlab2013a. When the program read empty arrow in matlab2013a , it put out from next arrow. Did this is a version problem?
