I'm trying to install Matlab with a student license but the installer always hangs at a random percentage. My connection isn't dropping and the pause/resume button does nothing. last time it got to 880/960Mb then refused to go any further. The drive I'm installing it on has 220Gb free. How do I proceed?

You can get the license number of your student license by logging into your mathworks account.
You can download the Matlab ISO image with which you can avoid downloading Matlab via the Matlab installer.
To achieve this:
  1. Select the version of Matlab (for which you have the license) in this link
  2. Under "Related Links" section, click on the "Get R20XXx ISO Images" link.
  3. You should be redirected to a page where you can download Matlab for the OS of your choice.
If the issue is still not resolved, you can Contact Support.
