R2012b installation problem. Permission denied for Java files

1 view (last 30 days)
Dear matlab community,
I have tried to install Matlab R2012b using a campus license on a Windows 7 (64bit) machine. When the installer is called from a samba-server it stops downloading the necessary files with an error message like "You don't have enough priveleges to copy jureg" The same happens for other two java files: jucheck.exe jusched.exe
I tried to copy these files manually from a previous matlab installation where the files are stored locally, but the same error happens. Then I also installed the most recent java (jre) version but didn't work.
I would appreciate any hint to solve this problem. Jaime

What exactly does "the installer is called from a samba-server" mean? Do you download the installer locally or do you run it from the network directly? Do you start the installation with admin privileges or as a user?

I ran a "setup.exe" file directly from the network. Then, the installation files begin to be downloaded to my local PC (USER/temp/AppData/Local/Temp/ ) and that's where the error with the 3 java files appears. Running the installer as normal or admin user makes no difference.
I'm not sure if it's a problem of my local Windows 7 computer or if the installer files in the network were not unpacked correctly.

...At the end I got a DVD-Version from my university and succesfully installed from there. Jaime
