Matlab Drive Connector GUI not Opening with Linux Client

4 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I recently installed the Linux version of MATLAB 2020b, after downloading the binaries from the website. MATLAB itself works well, but I'm encountering some issues with setting up the MATLAB Drive Connector (which I need for a class). I followed these steps: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlabdrive/ug/install-matlab-drive.html and the Drive Connector appears to be installed and active, as I can run MATLABConnector start, stop, and status without issue. However, no matter what I do, I can not get the GUI for the Drive Connector to open- MATLABConnector toggle executes without any errors, but no GUI is presented, and no item is visible on my taskbar. For reference, I am running Arch Linux with the i3 window manager. Does anyone know what might be causing the Drive Connector window to not display, or are there any possible workarounds I could employ to set up my MATLAB drive from the command line?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Firstly you can try deleting following folder: "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\MathWorks\MATLABConnector" and reinstall MATLAB Drive Connector.
Still, If you are experiencing an issue while installing MATLAB Drive Connector, please contact MathWorks Installation Support and include any log files or crash dumps that have been generated. Please also include any error messages that are being displayed.
Log Files
Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\MathWorks\MATLABConnector\logs
macOS
~/Library/Application Support/MathWorks/MATLABConnector/$MACHINE_ID/logs
Linux
~/.MATLABConnector/$HOSTNAME/logs
Hope this helps !
