Hi, I am struggling with how to take the sum of the following say i have a vector
A=[1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 0 1 0]
with L=length(A)
and i want the sum from i=1 to L-1
of the expression
A(i)*(1-(A(i+1)))
i have figured out away to do this with a for loop but is there any way i could do it without?
Thank you in advance for any help.

A=[1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 0 1 0]
a=A(1:end-1);
b=A(2:end)
out=sum(a.*(1-b))

A = [1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 0 1 0];
B = A(2:end);
C = sum(A(1:end-1).*(1-B));
