Numerical Analysis of Turbulent Flow over a Backward Facing Step

Hi all!
I am currently trying to perform a Numerical Analysis of Turbulent Flow over a Backward Facing Step using MATLAB. I have found a paper that does the same thing but using laminar flow and I am attempting to modify it for my specific purposes. I wanted to try and get the unaltered code running first before I modified it but I keep running into the following error on line 56 (underlined and made bold below) saying that the Index in position 1 exceeds array bounds (must not exceed 1). I think I vaguely understand that this is to do with calling or attempting to do something with a matrix that can't be done but I am not particularly good at MATLAB and cannot seem to figure out what is causing the error and how to fix it.

you should initialize u_old and other as well, like this:

Include the initialization of old matrices. The above comment is right.
