Dear Researchers, I have a problem of counting some structures in an image. I would like to gently ask for help, if possible.
The structures that I'm trying to count are fibrils, those long structures looking like hair strands or strings indicated by the arrows in the attached images. Could you help me with this, please?
Sincerely
Isabella Aquino

Refer example in the documentation link given below. In this example using the Opening and Label blocks, you count the number of spokes in the wheel. You can use similar techniques to count objects in other intensity images. However, you might need to use additional morphological operators and different structuring elements.
You can also refer this MATLAB answer to see the general steps that can be followed for counting objects in an image.
