Remove table entries with specified chars in variable

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi there I have a table and the one feature I would like to add to my code is to search for a match to a string and remove those entries entirely.
I can't figure out what functions to even use. I vaguely understand the regexpression syntax but I can only figure out how to use that to modify the elements not ID that entire row for deletion.
Any help would be appreciated!

Let the table name be "data".
idx=(contains(data{: , :},<searchValue>)
data(idx,:)=[];
%idx stores the row index in which the specified search string can be found.These rows can be deleted by replacing them with an empty matrix.
