Failed to load module 'canberra-gtk-module'

Before I install the MATLAB, I do the followings;
sudo apt-get install libcanberra-gtk-module
sudo apt-get install libcanberra-gtk-module:i386
At the end of the installation, the installer indicated that extra installation is needed.
It is looking for a supported c compiler for simulink
I clicked onn the supported compiler, error message
Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
What is the solution?

I have this issue, only I am using a University total headount liscence.
It will not let me install. When I click on the hyperlink in the box that pops up to verify my University account (Through login at the Unversities portal, I assume), it will not connect and I get the
"Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" error.
