Images not showing in compiled exe

I created an app in appDesigner. The app had a few images, as well as images acting as 'icons' on buttons.
After using the compiler, the images do not display on the exe application.
Do I need to add the images to the directory where the exe is held?

Yes the images need to be in the folder.

When you were packaging the app, were all images used in the app present in the section "files required for your application to run"?
