how to use regionprops to change pixel value and affect original image simultaneously?

I have a binary image of cells.

By using regionprops, I can view different cell imgae by s(k).Image.

I modify some pixel value in specific s(k).Image and then I use imshow to see the original image to check if the image is changed.

But I find that the pixel value of position that I changed by s(k).Image has not been changed in the original image.

How can I process the image by s(k).Image and affect the original image simultaneously?

s = regionprops(BW,{'Image'});
s(1).Image(12,17)=0;
imshow(BW)
