Using MATLAB mboile to obtain sensor data

Is it still possible to use the 'mobiledev' function as in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZsxFpjmdAs to obtain real-time sensor information. I have tried but keep getting errors when trying to sync the phone to the computer version.
