How to calculate packet generated, packet transmitted and packet received in a wireless sensor network.

Hello everyone,

I'm programming a wsn model in matlab in which I need to seperately calculate packet dropped, packet generated and packet transmitted from single node in the network in order to calculate its performance.

If anyone have any idea on how to calculate, please provide detail. It would be very helpful in proceeding in my work.
