How to remove the white space around the image

Hi All,

I have an image which is not the ideal image that I want, now it contains of white space around the image that I want to remove it and do the rotation, scaling and translation so the image can be in upright position.

My idea is to use rotate, scaling and translation to remove the white background of the image, however it does not works as I wanted..

Can someone please guide me on how to remove the white space then set the image into an upright position?
