I am trying to run Simulink Real-Time on an old Notebook for testing. I can boot the Real-Time kernel via CD or USB Method, but i cant connect the machine to the network. (I can boot to the Real-Time 2019b screen, but the rest is blank; no CPU, Network info)
I allready understood that the build in Ethernet Adapter (Broadcom) is not supported. So i was looking for an USB Ethernet Adapter and only foud 3 different models online, all with AX88772A Chip. I bought 1 of them and still cant connect to my network.
So my question is: Is the AX88772A Ethernet Chipset supported? The slrtexplr lists the "USBAX772" which i think means the AX88772 non-A.
Are there any other compatibilty limitations like USB controller?
Thanks.

I was able to use the very same USB-Ethernet Adapter with the Asix AX88772A Chip on a Simulink Real-Time 2017a Computer, i tested out of curiosity. It worked fine.
So SImulink Real-Time Explorer (slrtexplr) 2019b still has that drvier in drop-down menu, but it isnt supported anymore.

Hi Mathias,
This is probably due to the fact that support for custom target hardware has been removed in Simulink Real-Time in R2018a. Starting from that release, only Speedgoat target machines are supported.
For more information, have a look at www.speedgoat.com and at the Release Notes for Simulink Real-Time.
