to whom it may concern, I have a problem with MATLAB live scripts.
i'm using MARLAB R2019b and when i press alt or alt gr keys, it shows me shortcuts to the toolbar options. I want to disable them because i need to use alt key for writing chars like @ or [ ]. On my keybord these chars need alt+another key to be written.
in the screenshot below I show the shortcuts.

Generally key combinations require you to hold alt while typing the other key. That would not make these shortcuts show up. Can you confirm this is the case?

You can disable the toolbox mnemonics by executing the following command.
com.mathworks.desktop.mnemonics.MnemonicsManagers.get.disable
The command can be added to your startup.m file if you want to execute the above command automatically every time you open Matlab.
If the startup.m file is not already existing, follow the procedure mentioned below to create a new one. (Refer section Startup Options in MATLAB Startup File)

Hello !
same thing happened to me to, since i've installed release R2019b (this behaviour was not present with R2017b).
I also noticed it only happens with the Live Editor.
However, the above mentioned command seems to work. I've added it to my startup.m file.
thanks a lot !

Hello Ajay, thanks a lot from me too!
Although I cannot believe that you need a hack to get a workaround for a simple problem like this.
On the same note: Why is it that I cannot set preferencesfor the live editor at all?
