Changing Solver for Global optimization

I have a solver called SolvOpt and that's good for solving my nonsmooth and unsconstrained minimization problem, but usually it stops at local minimas. On my computer I have all toolboxes installed, but I want to use some good heuristics, as VNS, already implemented on Matlab to global optmize my particular problem using SolvOpt preferably on parallel. Is there any way to do this?

Try looking into Multistart (Global Optimization Toolbox). Or if you run your own code, parfor.
