How can I select Simulink to open .slx file directly?

Is there somthing like a simulink.exe to select at "open with" at a .slx file?
At the moment I need to start matlab, then simulink and then open the slx file there.
I'd be happy with every advice I get.

Simulink requirements include MATLAB, so opening .slx files without MATLAB is not possible.
However, to generate stand-alone applications from Simulink models please refer:
Hope this helps!

Probably you have mis understood the question.
user is actually looking for right click on .slx file & select open with option and need to choose the MATLAB version. [by select the tick option to open the similar files in future will automatically solve the issue for next time as well as]

Thanks for your answer
However, I figured out I just need to select "open with Matlab" then it starts Matlab, and a felt age later it opens the simulink file.
