access regions from imgradient output?

Hi

i wrot this code to get region in crowd image but the edge of all body still not detect good?!!

[Gmag, Gdir] = imgradient (rgb2gray(imca));
bn= imbinarize(Gmag,0.5);
ggg=edge(rgb2gray(imca),'Sobel');
figure,imshow(ggg);
