Why do I see the error the following error in my log when trying to install a MATLAB update?

Update available 
Failed to download release data 
Something unexpected occurred.: This is not common. 
To resolve this issue, contact Technical Support.

If you are seeing this error when trying to update the R2023a Pre-release:

Please uninstall the pre-release and install the full release of R2023a.
