Buck Converter Block (Simscape Eletrical) not working properly

4 views (last 30 days)
Hello there,
I'm doing my first projects with Simscape eletrical, and I'm having some issues with the Buck Converter Block. I'm running only the Buck converter with an constant Duty Cycle signal being used to control the Output Voltage at 50% of the input voltage (120 Volts DC), with a 100 ohms resistor as the load. I'm getting only zero volts at the output, and no current as well. When I switch to a Current source as the load, the output voltage is a 5 Volts peak to peak zero mean value.
Wasn't I supposed to get a 60 Volts DC as Output? Any help is very much appreciated.

Note: The exact same circuit, but with a Boost Converter Block did work the way it would be expected.

You have grounded the G- node. If you are considering MOSFETs, this would correspond to the source terminal of the MOSFET. Try deleting this ground (so G- connects to REF, but not to the ground). Then you should get what you expect.
